Acadia Healthcare Human Resources Assistant (12PM-8:30PM) in Valdosta, Georgia

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides clerical support to the Human Resources department. Maintains files and records, processes employment applications, gathers and distributes employee information. Updates personnel records and assists employees with forms and procedures

  • Create personnel files and file all Human Resources paperwork in a timely manner and in compliance with chart order

  • Types memos and letters as well as post and distribute correspondence

  • Keep all HR boards updated to standard

  • Prepares and copies New Employee Personnel Packets.

  • Assists with completion of New Employee personnel paperwork.

  • Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data into HRIS system

  • Provides secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages; maintaining equipment and supplies.

  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as maintains hospital licenses and certifications needed


  • Notifies Director of Human Resources of employees failing to complete training despite being notified at the end of each month.

  • Logs all completed training’s in Human Resources database.

  • Makes and files copies of training’s in each personnel file.

  • Assists in ensuring compliance with JCAHO training’s.

  • Confirming with employees and trainers the time, day and length of their training.

  • Assists in binding and collecting required personnel paperwork during new employee orientation.


  • Coordinates enrollment and maintains group insurance records for medical, life, and other coverage for employees and eligible dependents. Provides assistance and information to employees.


  • Assists Director of Human Resources in complying data for statistical purposes.

  • Participates in collection of data from employee records, by printing reports

  • Recognizes potential areas of improvement

  • Assists Director of Human Resources in collecting all training/certification requirements.


  • Relieve employees at the receptionist desk i.e.…breaks, lunches, call offs, days off

  • Answer switchboard within 3 rings

  • Calls promptly and courteously routed to proper staff, voice mail or message taken

  • Facilitate facility visitation process

  • Track patient belongings process

  • Facilitate facility lunch card process


  • Provides for employees rights and dignity.

  • Provides customer service to internal and external customers

  • Demonstrates professional confidential behavior at all times

  • Supports facility policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of Human Resources Policies and Procedures.

  • Practice occurs in accordance with written clinical and administrative directives including facility policies and procedures.

  • Observes confidentiality of all information occurring with employees and their personnel file.
