Acadia Healthcare Human Resource Coordinator in Valdosta, Georgia

Provides all clerical duties required for the HR Department to operate efficiently. Under the supervision of the HR Director.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides clerical support to the Human Resources department. Maintains files and records, processes employment applications, gathers and distributes employee information. Updates personnel records and assist employees with forms and procedures

  • Create personnel files and file all Human Resources paperwork in a timely manner and in compliance with chart order

  • Meet and greet new hires and review and ensure completion of new hire paperwork

  • Type memos and letters as well as post and distribute correspondence

  • Keep all HR boards updated to standard

  • Prepare and copy New Employee Personnel Packets.

  • Maintain employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data into HRIS system

  • Provide secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages; maintaining equipment and supplies.

  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential

  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending webinars/educational workshops; reviewing publications

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results to maintain hospital licenses and certifications

  • Represent Human Resources department on Employee Committee to provide employee engagement and recognition.

  • Assist Inpatient Receptionist with coverage during meal breaks as needed-must be able to multi-task and manage multi-line phone

NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION & TRAINING Coordinate new hire orientation for the organization.

  • Provide supervisors with a monthly list of employees needing to complete required training’s the month prior to the training expiring (TB, CPR, CPI, Licensure, performance evaluations etc.)

  • Notifies Director of Human Resources of employees failing to complete training

  • Create monthly training calendar

  • Log all completed training in Human Resources database.

  • Make and file copies of training’s in each personnel file.

  • Place original training copy in employee training book.

  • Set up and ensure consistent flow of trainers throughout orientation.

  • Reserving Conference Room for training.

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with JCAHO training.

  • Confirm with employees and trainers the time, day and length of their training.

  • Assists in binding and collecting required personnel paperwork during new employee orientation.

  • Facilitate new hire orientation


  • Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs

  • Screening resumes

  • Dispositioning resumes in HRIS system

  • Creating offer letters for candidates

  • Performing in-person and phone interviews with candidates

  • Administering appropriate company assessments

  • Performing reference and background checks

  • Making recommendations to company hiring managers

  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews with the hiring panel for all departments within the facility and updating their Outlook Calendar

  • Following up on the interview process status

  • Maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved

  • Communicating employer information and benefits during screening process

  • Staying current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices

  • Serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations

  • Completing timely reports on employment activity

  • Conducting exit interviews on terminating employees

  • Attend career fairs

  • Post job openings on internal and external job boards


  • Assist with the coordination of open enrollment and maintain group insurance records for medical, life, and other coverage for employees and eligible dependents. Process enrollment forms and provide assistance and information to employees.


  • Assist Director of Human Resources in compiling data for statistical purposes.

  • Participates in collection of data from employee records, by printing reports

  • Recognizes potential areas of improvement

  • Assists Director of Human Resources in collecting all training/certification requirements.


  • Provide for employees rights and dignity.

  • Provides customer service to internal and external customers

  • Demonstrate professional confidential behavior at all times

  • Support facility policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
