Provide technical and sales direction for the respective Merchandising Division with an objective to sell products and services.
25% Provide sales and technical support. Provide leadership, direction and implementation of new products and services. Works congruently with District Managers and Dealer Sales Managers to sell products and services.
15% Implement a time and territory management program. Develop a territory visit plan and orchestrate. Develop and maintain a top ten-customer list.
10% Assist retail with field sales.
10% Wholesale volume. Meet or exceed the assigned feed budget.
10% Know the competitive markets in their territory. Communicate with wholesale procurement and retail management to maximize sales, margins and efficiencies.
5% Manage the investigation and recommend settlement of complaints that cannot be settled at the local level.
5% Promote Feed Merchandising programs. Provide feedback to respective product managers’ programs and products needed to meet sales budget.
5% Develop or assist with the development and execute training of retail personnel.
5% Sell House and Commercial Accounts as assigned.
5% Participate in programs and network with appropriate industry, government and agricultural workers.
5% Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Animal Nutrition or Marketing or 4 years of experience in agricultural related field
Valid Driver’s License
Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 50 pounds.
While traveling may have contact with hazardous materials and drive/travel and work in adverse weather conditions.
Vision, hearing and speech essential.
Hand coordination to use computer.
Good sales and communication skills required.
- BS degree, preferably in Animal Nutrition, Marketing and Agriculture
