Job Description

The person in this position physically stages materials, parts and sub-assemblies for production. The handler is responsible for inventory control, cycle counts and random material audits.

Duties include, but are not limitedto:

  • Ensure production has the components required to maintain established workflow.

  • Locate materials and expedite part shortages within the plant.

  • Record every transaction to maintain inventory records.

  • Able to work 1st or 2nd shift with possible over time


Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required forklift certification (Willing to train). Developing understanding of transaction affect on inventory. Correctly measures materials. Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability. Valid driver’s license with good driving record may be required. Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift. Effective verbal communication skills. Able to lift up to 25 pounds.


  • Must have basic computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

  • Must demonstrate the desire and ability to acquire necessary skills and knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures.

  • Must have ability to accurately read a tape measure scale, metal gauge wheel & micrometer and have ability to perform various calculations.

  • Must maintain proper housekeeping per 5S Lean process.

  • Forklift qualifications are required.

  • Must have good communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours.


  • Perform work to insure accuracy, desired efficiency, housekeeping, and quality standards are all met.

  • Must achieve SAP skills.

  • Must have ability to accurately read a tape measure scale, metal gauge wheel & micrometer and have ability to perform various calculations.

  • Must maintain proper housekeeping per 5S Lean process

  • Must have or be able to obtain PIT Certification (passenger golf cart & fork truck)


  • Responsible for daily service parts shipments.

  • Will be responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records for every transaction made into the WM module of SAP.

  • Packages and prepares parts for shipment.

  • Inventory Control, Cycle Count, and random audits assistance will be required.


  • Work with production to ensure parts are built on time for shipments.

  • Enter Material Movements transactions into (WM - SAP)

  • Works with Customer Service and Sales on emergency shipments

  • Assist resolving inventory discrepancies

  • Understand transaction effect on inventory

  • Maintain required records and reports using IT applications such as SAP & MS Office

  • All other duties as assigned
